Dr. Frank Lacqua received his M.D. degree
at SUNY at Buffalo, NY. His residencies include St. Luke's
Roosevelt Hospital and University of Texas at Houston Health
Science Center.
Dr. Lacqua is the Chief of Colon and Rectal
Surgery Division at the Lutheran Medical Center,Brooklyn NY,
and has priveleges at the Staten Island University Hospital
and St.Vincent's Hospital. He is a fellow at American College
of Surgeons as well as the NY Colon and Rectal Society.
Dr. Lacqua is an expert in colon cancer,
diverticulosis, anorectal diseases, stapled hemorrhoidectomy,
post-op pain management catheter for rectal surgery, and colonoscopy.
He pioneered the use of post-operative pain management pump
for rectal surgery. He is one of few surgeons performing stapled
hemorrhoidectomy which reduces post-operative pain and shortens
the recovery period.
