Alexander Gart, M.D. graduated from the
Second Moscow Medical Institute in 1984. He continued his
training in General and Vascular Surgery and later on in Cardio-vascular
Surgery in Moscow. After arriving in the United States in
1991, Dr. Gart completed his General Surgery Residency at
Staten Island University Hospital, New York, and the Vascular
Surgery Fellowship in Englewood Hospital, New Jersey.
Dr. Gart is an Assistant Professor of Surgery
at Cornell Weill Medical College. He is also the Director
of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery division at the Jamaica
Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Gart is a faculty memeber and
a clinical instructor of surgery at the Columbia University
College of Physicians and Surgeons. He has privileges at the
Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.
Dr. Alexander Gart sees patients in our
office and in participating hospitals performs surgery of
Aorta and major vessles, bypass surgery, surgery of non-healing
wounds and skin grafting. He has extensive experience in the
management of aortic, carotid, and peripheral vascular diseases.
Minimally invasive vascular procedures, such as, angiograms,
balloon angioplasty, stenting, and aortic endostenting Dr.
Gart performs at NewYork Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell
Medical Center, as well in Jamaica Hospital.
