Dr. Susan Levit received her Doctor of Medicine Degree at
the "Technion", Israel Institute of Technology.
In Israel she served as a Captain in the Israel Defence Forces
and worked at the Rambam University Teaching Hospital in Haifa,
Israel. In the U.S. Dr. Levit completed her residency in Internal
Medicine at the Staten Island University Hospital. Dr. Susan
Levit has a special interest and very deep and vast experience
in Dermatology and Cosmetics from Israel and post graduate
training in USA.
Dr. Susan Levit is presently a member of a number of professional
organizations: American Medical Association, American Physician
Partners Association, American College of Physicians, New
York Medical Society, Richmod County Medical Society. Because
of her extensive involvement and dedication to community activities
she has received numerous awards such as: Woman of the Year
2004, Russian Monthly Magazine, "Business Lady 2003"
from the International Women's Organization. In 2003 Dr. Susan
Levit became Co-Chair and one of the Founders of the International
Organization of Doctors Against Terrorism.
More recently in 2005 Dr.Susan Levit was the recipient of
the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, by the National Ethnic Coalition
of Organizations(NECO). The award honors distinguished Americans
who have made significant contributions to the nation's heritage.
Ellis Island Medal of Honor recipients selected each year
through a national nomination process and sanctioned by the
United States Congress and recipients' names are listed in
the Congressional Record.
Previous Ellis honorees have included Presidents George
